Established in 1982, Duane and Misty Detjens started Detjens Country Cutting in the back of their garage; processing beef, hogs, and deer. Brian Walsh was the operator of the on-the-farm slaughter part of the business. The business grew and they began producing homemade sausages. In 1995, Detjens Country Store opened next to the processing plant. Over the years, they have added dedicated full and part-time employees, including Mark Cichanofsky, who became the plant manager in 1997. |

Currently... In the spring of 2000, Brian Walsh and Mark Cichanofsky purchased the business from the Detjens, and have continued to produce great tasting, quality meats. Detjens Country Cutting started supplying area stores with their products and they are always adding new services to better accommodate their customers.
